I promise to not keep posting about Apple, but...

...I just used the new Apple iPod Shuffle at the gym today for the first time, and wow, what a perfect device. I clamped it to my shorts and it was so light I couldn't even tell I was wearing it. Thanks Mom and Dad!

If working out wasn't enough, I went and played hockey with Robbie and friends today. It was a lot of fun, even though the ice was pretty terrible. Hopefully the weather will continue to stay cold and we'll have some better ice next week. My biggest issue with hockey is stopping. Anyone out there willing to teach me how to hockey-stop?

does that mean you bought a shuffle?

Close. My parents got me one for Christmas. If it were also a heart rate monitor then it would be the single greatest workout accessory of all time.

Can you stop on a dime on skis? If so, you can do it on skates. I took the same approach to a hockey-stop as I know how to do on skis and it worked perfectly. Just pick up your inside skate slightly, and turn hard with your outside skate perpendicular to the direction you're going.

see how long your battery lasts... i swear i haven't recharged mine in over a month and I use it for at least 2 hours a week, if not more.

Big Mike: I can stop on skis like you say, but for some reason I have a hard time on skates. I wonder if my blades aren't sharp enough?

Bob: You have to realize by now it's my lifelong dream to be a cool as you. Buying the same gear you have is just my first step.
